What we did yesterday in class included:1. Using and creating buttons
2. Using buttons to navigate through pages
3. Creating a slide show
This stuff- particularly the making of buttons, and using action scripts to point the button to a particular frame will help me to create my website!

I can choose whether to design an interactive website or animation that describes:Advertise - I could create an animated banner or website of some sort to advertise a product.
Market - offer things for sale - create an online store?
Touch - have an interactive animation thingy where u can 'touch'/ click on things and do stuff with it. A game of some sort perhaps?
Breath - (Now can I just point out how random these bloody words are?!!) Ermm... Do a website on bad breath?? Hahaha Have an interactive animation on brushing someone's teeth!
Sent - make a person or thing go somewhere. So make an animation about a person sending something????
Soothe - calm, ease pain or distress. relaxing, easy. Make a website on how to relax or aromatherapy? Or perhaps a soothing animation - a holiday theme??
So far I'm liking to the idea of making a website based on the words 'advertise' or 'market' and create a website/online store to promote and sell a random product. Have no idea what i'll be 'selling' though!! Probably some random art/design product!!!
Or.. I possibly might want to do the aromatherapy website as well.
First animation

Successfully created my first animation today using Flash!!!!It had to include:
1. Alpha'd moving waves
2. A waving palm frond
3. Flying birds
4. A rising and setting sun
5. A boat bobbing on the waves
6. Leaping dolphins
Some aspects were fairly easy to generate, some hard - especially that motion guide! Though I think I've mastered the technique now!

Began using the software flash for animation!!Notable stuff I learnt today includes:
Timeline - represents pages, time, etc.
Frames, Key Frames, Empty Key Frames, Tweens, actions f5 shift f5, f6 & f7.
There are two types of flash movies: .fla and .swf
When starting a new document, change the frame rate to 20 fps recommended.
Apple return - preview movie/animation created.
Key Frame has little circle - important animation
To insert time/ 'grey space' - F5
To create motion tween - control click on grey area, menu ,'create motion tween'!!! If little dotted lines are present, this means you need to insert a keyframe (shortcut - F6)
Shift
Shift + F6 removes key Frames
F7 creates an empty key frame.
Action scripts: Window - actions (these only work on key frames). Type stop (); to stop the animation from repeting itself.
Motion Guides - used to guide objects over curves / certain path. Use the pencil tool to create guide path.
Oh yeah, we also got our brief! Which is.....

You will design an interactive web site or animation that describes one of the following. Advertise, market, touch, breath, sent, sooth, aural, contemporary.
Can devise own project, but will probably pick one of the suggested topics to make life a lot easier for myself!!
